Follow The Quadrantids Meteor Shower Online [LIVE VIDEO]

But tonight around 11:30 pm, depending on cloud cover in the South Sound, observers can look forward to 2012's first major meteor shower as reported in the Huffintgon Post today. The showers are expected to last several hours in the Northern Hemisphere

Astronomy | meteor showers | Tonight is one of the odder meteor showers of the years. Why is it odd? Well for one, it's called the Quadrantids -- named after a constellation that got redefi.

Astronomers are predicting a brief two hour meteor shower Wednesday morning, between 3:00 and 5:00 am Central Time. The Quandrantids, or "Quads" as most people call them, are named for an old constellation called Quadrans Muralis.

Your chance to catch a glimpse of the Quadrantid meteor shower is rapidly drawing to a close I looked for a few minutes on my way in to work but didn't see any. Wednesday afternoon will mark an end to our early January arctic blast.
