colspan="2" class="createdate"> Friday, January 13, 2012 The French giant PPR, controlled by the Pinault family, has completed the acquisition of Brioni, the Italian label clothing for men, after the go-by antitrust authorities.

The announcement of the acquisition had taken place last November. The French company will expand the product range of Brioni and its geographic presence.

The transaction was not disclosed even if the President of the French group, Francois-Henri Pinault, had indicated that the price paid was "quite reasonable" and "significantly lower" than 350 million euros given by the press.
